Scott Lopez
Scott Lopez is a seasoned insurance professional with more than 25 years of experience helping businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of employee benefits and health insurance. He began his career with Aflac, where he transitioned into management where he developed a strong foundation in insurance sales, client service, and benefits consulting before transitioning into the employee benefits sector as a broker.
My Story
Today, Scott serves as a Managing Partner of Coastal Group Benefits, where he works closely with employers to design and implement strategic employee benefit solutions. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for delivering personalized service, industry expertise, and long-term client relationships founded on trust and integrity.
Scott attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before launching his insurance career and has remained actively involved in the industry through professional leadership and advocacy. He is a member of the Acadiana Association of Health Underwriters and the Louisiana Association of Health Underwriters. In addition, Scott has served as President of the local Health Underwriters Association, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the profession and supporting fellow insurance professionals.
In addition to his insurance career, Scott has successfully expanded his entrepreneurial interests into the real estate and energy sectors, where he has participated in business ventures and investments that further demonstrate his strategic business commitment to long-term growth in the Acadiana and Gulf Coast region.
With decades of experience in employee benefits, group health insurance, and employer-sponsored solutions, Scott continues to help businesses across Louisiana and the Southern region develop benefit strategies that attract, retain, and protect their most valuable asset—their valued associates.
